I thought that this would be interesting to share as the COVID-19 vaccine is already being distributed in the US.

Medicine in Japan is generally 10 to 20 years behind the States, so we shall see if the vaccine is rushed through as agreed upon or whether they will wait for more data and run trials.
US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is the first supplier to seek approval in Japan for the use of its COVID-19 vaccine.
I also own Pfizer stock, so this is better news for me.
The Japanese government and Pfizer earlier reached a basic agreement. It stipulates the firm will supply enough vaccine to inoculate 60 million people by the end of June next year. Clinical tests have been underway in Japan since October.
Japan's health ministry plans to take into consideration its own assessment of the efficacy and safety of the vaccine.

I am not taking a vaccine for coronavirus unless someone's got a knife ready to slit my throat.

Same here.

I've opted out of it as I'm not going to be a human trial.

I will take my chances with it if I haven't already had it until forced to take it because we will be denied entry to places such as MaxValu as they may have smart tracking; we'll have to see how far corporations reach with this.

Being in the high-risk age group (over 70), I can't wait to get the vaccine.

Without the vaccine, I have a good chance of getting very sick or dying if I get infected.

While I agree that the vaccine needs more "run time" before being deemed totally safe, for me the risk/reward favors taking the vaccine.

Yeah, I would say that you may be on the cutting edge to need to get it if you have frequent prolonged exposure to others that aren't careful. I would maybe wait until the Moderna vaccine is out so that you can see the differences between the negative side effects and take it from there though.

When I say I'm not about to take the vaccine, don't take it as if I'm selfish. I'm not, but only 4 months to produce a vaccine and a 4 month trial period, something just doesn't click well with me.
There was too much money involved in this all over the world. And when I found out the Pharmaceutical companies can not be held for injuries, forget it. I'm from the old school of common sense. You might be saying "common sense" and you won't take the vaccine... has anyone asked who works at the places to make it if they will take it. That my friends here on the forum is the million dollar question.
So far, I see no reports of any staff taking it, that itself should be the biggest news, like everyone working goes on camera and takes the shot, but... the world is full of trickery and...

anyway I'm not far from 70 years of age ( and I haven't been brainwashed, oh my God, the world is going to end if I don't follow in the incompetent leaders that we have in charge of our lives )

Bingo.

With the adverse side effects already reported from as small of a sample that they have makes it a pretty large percent over the entire population. There's a reason why they don't recommend giving it to children now... because children were the actual test dummies when the science said children aren't even affected by it as great as any other age groups.

Have a seizure, fall, hit, and fracture your skull? Better have insurance for all those MRIs and a potential ICU stay followed by a brief inpatient stay. Got fired from your job (if you're lucky to have one) because you missed out on too much work? Well, you're not going to be compensated for that and it will take a while to get on Social Security Insurance (if you need rehab time), which isn't a livable wage at all.

Of course, everyone is going to take it. Some have said that they will take it live on TV or in front of an audience.

I have my suspicion that the lot the vaccines for those (elite) people will contain nothing more than a saline solution and not the mRNA vaccine itself.
