Having lived in Okinawa for 2 years way back then, life was so mellowed out. I was into karate and judo at the time and spent most of the evening hours in the dojo.
I got back to Naha last August and the people I talked with were still down to earth. Many people now want to move to Okinawa. Will it lose its innosence ?

Okinawa is a small island, but many people say it is healing.
If you can make many comminities, you will surely enjoy your life in Okinawa.

To me, it feels pretty normal for being in the middle of a pandemic.

I look around at the hotspots in Okinawa and see many people gathering now. The only thing is, we look a bit different with cloth masks on. Soon as the theater of "I'm protecting you" is, hopefully, over, we can get back to seeing smiling faces, unless we forgot how to do that hiding our mouths all this time. ;)
