Introduction Hello from Yamaguchi, Japan

Thanks for the welcome, staff.
Been a long time resident of Japan. My first experience was stationed in Okinawa way back when. I really enjoyed my time then and always wanted to return. Somehow I manage to find myself back in Japan years later with my wife and family. I joined the forum on recommendation. So here I am. Had plans to cycle around Okinawa this late spring or early summer, but... seems like now them plans are on hold. So in a way, I can now venture into the info on the forum about Okinawa.
Again, thank you for the welcome.

I suppose I could share pictures on this forum of my adventures in my area.

My first experience was stationed in Okinawa way back when.

Sounds like me, 2006–2008, but I came back partially due to the recession, mainly due to environmental circumstances with cultural adjustments among other things too.

I joined the forum on recommendation.

Well, welcome aboard!

So in a way, I can now venture into the info on the forum about Okinawa.

There's already a year's worth of content built up in Okinawa Pin Drops and other things to do in Okinawa in the Places directory that you can look at maps and cycle to and from.

Car trouble got the best of me and I haven't been able to get out as much recently. That should be solved in the coming week though. However, due to COVID-19 fears, I'll probably just be posting secluded places, that social distancing not be a worry, but fun to visit if you're an explorer or adventurous.

I suppose I could share pictures on this forum of my adventures in my area.

Got to say "a friendly group" here I feel.
The Air Force sent me to Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Got temp duties in Thailand, Philippines and was stationed in Okinawa and then stationed at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo .

The recession I know about, it hit us pretty bad in 91 in California, so the wife decided to pack up and move back to her city here. We just never know what's in that box of chocolates, do we. ? or in this case a dango.
