An earthquake in Fukushima has registered as an "Upper 6" / 7.1 at 2308 on February 13, 2021.

Incredibly there, doesn't seem to be any tsunami warnings in effect for the area as a M7.1 compared to the M9 on 3/11/2011 that wreaked havoc and took thousands of lives.

I am seeing some reoorts of minor sea level changes and potentially some damage as in power outages, etc.

Let's hope the people of Fukushima can rest throughout the night and this not be a foreshock to something greater.

No tsunami warnings in effect, but residents of costal regions are advised to move to higher ground as a precaution.
