Facebook Login Disabled

We've made the conscious decision to disable Facebook login on our site.

This was due to Facebook wanting to be too intrusive on our website, requiring an account on our site.

We didn't want accounts to suddenly not work at the will of Facebook's decision to terminate our Login app, now or in the future. Therefore, we haven't provided the information required to keep it running and it will soon be suspended.

If you previously used Facebook login, you may need to reset your password on our site to continue use. The password reset request will be sent to your email associated with Facebook.

Our Facebook Page will remain active.

I can only presume they want an account on file for them to log in and use their AI to determine whether this site is "safe" to use Facebook login.

Since there are opinions in our Covid thread that are "politically incorrect", it would make sense to just cut ties with them now than later be terminated.

It doesn't take much to create a new account and save the username/password then anyway...

A lot of our traffic can be attributed to social media, but, we won't rely on social media companies to dictate whether or not you can sign up for our website anymore.

We'll try and find a fix for removing that Facebook widget from view as to not hinder the performance of our site for you @hmorris48.

I have no problem with the Facebook widget - DuckDuckGo is handling it for me

But glad it's not interfering with your experience here in the meantime.
