South U.S. Consulate General Naha

The U.S. Consulate General Naha's significant constituency is the large number of American personnel and their accompanying family members here on Okinawa. Though their services do support every U.S. citizen. Their 10-person consular team provides passport assistance, reports of births abroad, as well as other U.S. citizen services such as directing you to the right sections for the Social Security Administration as well as providing a Veterans Affairs (VA) liaison to assist the 1000 veterans living in Okinawa. The Consulate requires appointments for most services but will see you on an emergency basis. Though, it's recommended to call in prior to arrival in the case of the latter.
