Yomitan Fisheries Co-op (better known as Toya Fishing Port) is a great place for super fresh fish. This place combines a fresh fish market downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. It is a co-op so this place supports local fishermen, as opposed to large commercial organizations. Market offerings depend on what the fishermen bring in that day. The restaurant offerings are usually always available, just purchase a ticket using the ticket machine. The market prices are usually better than supermarkets, and the restaurant is very reasonable. Have your lunch on the balcony overlooking the harbor as it is a terrific view. Plan to eat lunch here because it is only open from 1000 to 1600.
It is not hard to find, just follow the posted street sign, in English, on Route 6 pointing down toward the harbor.
