Okinawa Christian School International (OCSI) is a fully accredited international school based on the US curriculum and calendar. The school has around 500 students and more than 40 teachers. Most Americans in the area are associated with the military and will attend the schools on base. However, OCSI provides a needed function of educating international students that are not associated with the on-base school system. Classes are held in English, and as the name implies, there are mandatory Christian courses. The campus is located in Yomitan which provides it with enough space for a full suite of academic facilities as well as sporting venues.
