Freshwater & Reptile Habitat

Once the approximate 5-minute "3D" tour of Okinawa is over, it'll end on a jungle view to your left. From here, the door will open, appearing as if the jungle meets aquarium, and you'll finally be allowed to enter from here.

Scattered throughout DMM Aquarium are checkpoints of fish and other mammals that you can "catch". For this to work, you must have the official app (Android / iPhone) with location and Bluetooth enabled. It's best to be prepared in advance so you can skip ahead to the first checkpoint and start scanning.

The first room you enter is a jungle-like habitat that hosts freshwater aquarium tanks as well as tanks for reptiles and more, so from here it's unfair to call DMM Kariyushi Aquarium, an aquarium. You will see a lot of fish, but you'll also see snakes, other reptiles...

...and even penguins!

Take your time in the jungle-like habitat and go up the stairs to get a birds-eye view of the place too.

Not all pictures are seen in this blog post. Be sure to check out the DMM Kariyushi Aquarium walk-through gallery to get a full experience of the place.
