Adventure A Wonderful Family Trip To Bios no Oka

Ever wake up thinking, "What should we do today?"

I don't know about you but this is a constant question that comes to mind when planning our family's weekend adventures. Chipping away at our bucket list of things-to-do in Okinawa.

I personally had no idea about this place called Bios no Oka. I saw an advertisement for it during one of my outings and saw they had a boot tour. I was instantly sold.

What is "Bios no Oka"?

"Bios" means "life" in Greek. Bios no Oka is a subtropical forest filled with orchids and nature trails. Bios no Oka is situated on the Ishikawa highlands. It is more than just about flowers but a beautiful place to spend your day with your family, as a couple, or a group of people. It's for all ages and lots to do for the little ones.

You can take a tour of the lake with an English speaking tour guide or ride the farm tour train. You can even ride a water buffalo cart throughout the park. Miss kayaking or paddle boarding? Well, you can do it here too!

It also has a large playground area made out of wood logs to let your kids run free, wooden swings, and hammocks to just relax. The park also has a petting zoo and you can even walk goats. Beautiful location to capture your Kodak moments, so bring your cameras.

It has a few restaurants throughout the park and you can even order some delicious Okinawa Soba or Taco Rice. They even have a Tea house to relax after your walks.

The park is stroller friendly and has baby changing stations throughout the park; it is also wheelchair accessible.

This looks like a great place to take my little one to get her outdoors. Just wondering... Did you by chance see if there were any dogs around or know if Bios on the Hill is dog-friendly?

Actually, dogs are allowed. They can not get on the rides though.
